A Picture Tells A thousand Stories
And in this picture the
So today he finally puts an end to the pantomime of "oh yes he will, oh no he wont, it's behind you [just like the mess he is leaving]" and has announced he is to
Aesop
I find the arrogance of this fellow [I was going to say "man" but Kipling would turn in his grave] hard to take more and more each day. How he can stand there all smiles and say he is leaving on a certain date is beyond me. He was elected to serve a term and now he has decided he has had enough and he is cutting it short.
It is a pity the brave men and women of our armed forces can't decide when and where they pack it in and go home.
We will hear, some from him and a lot more from his "spin team" about his "legacy" that he has left the British People.
Legacy. He is smiling while announcing he is leaving but he has armed forces deployed in situations all over the world. They have to cope without adequate supplies including armour. The USA are making plans for pulling troops out, what does that mean for us? What does that mean for Blair, the person who put them there? Nothing I am thinking as he wont be here.
Legacy. Our healthcare system is in the biggest mess it has ever been in. It is National Health Care System [NHS], free to everyone and paid for through our taxes. How can he sit and think of leaving when he has put Health Trusts in a position where they are in debt and have to close services and even whole Hospitals to recoup the loses the following year. How can you run a hospital in that way?
Legacy. He will be remembered for being the Primeminister [PM] who sent troops into more wars than any other. The man who sat in the "Dome" like a dog with two dicks on the "Millenium" eve. GBP800Million to build and it sits empty 7 years later costing a fortune. It is a plastic tent and a better way to celebrate the "Millenium" would have been to give the money to Africa in the form of running water.
He will be remembered as the PM who rubber stamped the big IT upgrade for the NHS, originally quoted at GBP2Billion but currently up near GBP15Billion and not finished.
He will be remembered as the PM who "brought the Olympic Games" to the UK. Sold to the UK people on the basis it would cost GBP1.5Billion although they forgot to add the VAT [you couldn't make this stuff up] and the cost is rapidly nearing the GBP10Billion figue already.
So now he will be looking ahead to retirement [book deal, job in the USA and a hefty pension]. A retirement, unlike the one Dr David Kelly will be enjoying.
So it seems that you do have a leagacy to leave but you just didn't have the guts to be here when the USA pull out did you? That point when you would have to face up to reality and have no Bush to hide behind.
No you go on your way, in your own good time, someone will clear up your mess because someone always does. You just sit in your nice big safe house counting out your money and playing with yourself becauseyou feel so wonderful.
